Finally I have caught up!!!!!!  Going back to work has slowed me down!!  Anyway I didn't make it outside today but the boys and Daddy Dave did!!  And today they made a snowman!!!!  Well Daddy Dave really made the snowman and Jeremy barks the orders.  Ian made the middle of the snowman with a little help.  All in all it was a good day because finally we have a snowman!!!

I couldn't not put this one in!  She just looks so peaceful!!

Today is a special day!  Ashley Elizabeth was baptized today at the Stratford United Methodist Church.  Ian was super tired after the party and wasn't feeling good at all.  He ended up sleeping right through the outside time!  Jeremy so wanted to make a snowman...but the snow was no good.  I pulled him on the sled.  Daddy Dave came out too!  He was doing the trash...he was not happy that I was dragging him out the door.

Popi is here and Uncle Eric and it snowed and big snow!!  We got about 6 inches when it was all said and done!!!  The boys went outside in the morning by themselves.  Ian lasted about 30 minutes and Jeremy was out for about an hour!!  After it stopped we all went outside!  Daddy Dave was busy cleaning the driveway.  Jeremy shoveled the grass...Daddy Dave was looking for some help but shoveling the grass isn't really helping.  Ian and I checked out the snow.  He was having a hard time walking around.  It was exciting to have some snow!!!

Daddy Dave wasn't home, I stayed late at work which means that Grammy and Grandpa were incharge...but don't worry the boys went outside.  It was cold but they were outside for about 10 minutes.  Don't really know what they did, but at least they didn't come home and just watch TV!!  No pictures today!!  :(

Outside after school...Daddy Dave had remove to the snow from the stairs...that is where Jeremy put all the snow yesterday when he shoveled the deck.  Daddy Dave was out first with the kids.  I got dinner started and then went out!

YUCK...I went back to work today!!!!!  But don't worry we still went outside!  The boys have been making it easy.  Jeremy reminds me that we have to go outside and they really do look forward to it and even better, the first thing that they ask for is NOT the TV!  First they ask to go outside!!!  So really my new years resolution is working!!!!!  The boys actually went outside twice today!!  It snowed a little bit during the night and I knew that most of it would melt so the boys went outside and played in the snow before going to school.  I didn't put thier snowpants on them.  They did great!  Jeremy and Ian stayed dry until we were getting in the car and Jeremy fell so we had to change is pants before going to school.  After school I was busy cleaning up dog pee, Ashley was screaming but the boys were outside!  They played. Jeremy shovled the WHOLE deck!!  No pictures but they had fun!!

Happy Birthday Martin Luther King Jr.!!!  Today Daddy Dave spent a lot of time outside.  He was fixing this and fixing that which meant that he was sawing this and sawing that...I am glad that he is so handy!!!  The boys and I walked around the block...Ashley was inside today!!  We walked around the block and brought Daddy Dave some presents back...STICKS!!!  The boys carried and pulled the sticks almost the whole way!!

A family Day!!!!  Daddy Dave was home and we had a great day but it was COLD!!  We got everybody all dressed up...the boys even had blankets on them!  We went for a VERY short walk to the stop and sign and back.  Daddy Dave, Jeremy and Ashley didn't stay out but Ian and I did!!  He wanted to go around the block so we did!!  It was cold.  I pulled the wagon and ran around the block with him.  By the time we got home we were both cold!  The wind was blowing on our faces for most of the time!!

No pictures today!!  Daddy Dave was gone all day!  The boys went outside to play.  They can always find something to do in the backyard!!!  I must have gone out but I can't really remember what we did...I am sure a little soccer and some football!!

COLD!!!  Today was a cold day!!  Too cold for Ashley, and she has a bit of a cold!!  She sat in her highchair and watched us play outside and again we played soccer.  The boys were really cold so we did do some running around the back yard...when ever they complain that they are cold, I make them run.  It warms them up!!

Today the weather was RAINY, I had to go back to work to figure out what I was going to be teaching and we got our new counter tops so Daddy Dave was busy hooking up the kitchen sink.  When I left I told him that he was in charge of the 15minutes outside!  Well the sink took a long time and when I got home it was dark and nobody had gone outside...so we went outside.  The boys really didn't care that it was misting.  Daddy Dave and Ashley stayed inside but the boys and I went outside and again we played soccer!  I never thought when I bought the soccer goal for 10 dollars at Target for Ian's birthday that we would get so much used out of it and I never thought that we would be using it in January!!

The outside time started with donuts which was not expected!!  After I picked Jeremy up from school he wanted donuts and I wanted a hot chocolate so we went to Dunkin Donuts.  When we got home Jeremy was sad because his donut didn't come with sprinkles.  So I told him that we could add some but I knew that they would fall all over the floor so...we went outside!!  Jeremy was happy because he has sprinkles and I was happy because they did go all over the place but I didn't have to clean them up!  The boys have been really into play sport so today was some more of the same.  Daddy Dave fixed the basketball hoop!  Jeremy played soccer and Ian played with Buzz Lightyear again!!  Ashley was awake today and was happy to be outside!

Daddy Dave had band tonight so it was just me and the kids!!  It wasn't too cold today!  The boys wanted to go outside and play soccer and football so, we were off!  Ashley was asleep in her carseat and we played.  I made Ian put on his Halloween costume football helmet.  The family likes the Jets but I couldn't find a Jets helmet and jersey so I ordered a Patriots helmet and jersey.  Well the Patriots were playing Denver Broncos so I put on my Tim Tebow shirt and Ian had his helmet and we took pictures.  Sadly Tim Tebow and the Broncos lost!!  But anyway...I didn't want the boys sneakers to get all dirty so we had boot day!!  We put on our boots and went outside!  We did a little of everything outside and our guest today was Buzz Lightyear!!  Buzz helped carry sticks, and he played soccer, football and basketball with us!  Ashley was sleeping and was happy to hold the football!!

Monday January 9

It is a chilly evening here but the Syzdeks went for a long walk.  We drove to the trail.  It is a new trail and is great because the kids can just run and run and run!!  It was windy but Ian had to take his hat off because he was too hot from all the running he was doing!  Along the way Ian found dog footprints and I found a black cat that was looking right at us.  The boys scared it away.  Once we turned around and Daddy Dave said...Last one to the car is a rotten egg.  Well Jeremy won!  He informed us that he was a clean and shinny egg and the rest of us are dirty and spotted eggs!  It makes my heart sing that we are doing this!  I love the extra family time that we are getting.  Yes, there would be days when we would go for walks and of course we would hang out as a family...but so far this resolution is just making sure that our family has family time everyday.  Daddy Dave said that he wants to go for a walk at 5am so he doesn't miss out when he has band.  Maybe not this week, as this is my last week to sleep late but once I get back to work and am up  I am going to take him up on that...we will have to see how the boys do with that too!!  Ashley won't care, she is so agreeable!!!  :)
